WORD Community Development Grant Applications

WORD of Comal County is accepting applications for its 2027 Community Development Grant program. At its sole discretion, WORD may provide grants to eligible organizations, entities, and agencies for projects that benefit the local and visiting community. Grant requests may support water-related community resources, environmental stewardship, water recreation and safety, health and sanitation, law enforcement and emergency services, and other community development needs.

Application Deadline

Completed grant applications are due no later than Tuesday, October 8, at 4:30 PM.

Applicants should complete all required sections of the Grant Request Form and submit the completed packet by email to mike@wordcc.com or in person at the WORD Office, located at 14041 FM 306, Canyon Lake, TX 78133.

Board Meeting

WORD staff will review submitted requests for eligibility before they are presented to the WORD Board of Directors for consideration. Organizations whose requests are selected for presentation to the Board will be notified in advance so they have time to plan accordingly.

Grant requests will be presented to the WORD Board of Directors during the October 19 Board Meeting beginning at 5:30 PM in the WORD Office. Grant requestors should plan to attend the meeting to present their request and be available to answer any questions from the Board.
